Role Overview
The IMS Accounting group is seeking an accountant to be a part of our shared services team. The Accounting team is responsible for ensuring compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The accounting role requires a candidate who will be responsible for performing accurate and efficient general accounting and supporting audit and internal control requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Participating in the accounting month end closing process
  • Preparing, processing and verifying journal entries
  • Performing account reconciliations and analysis
  • Supporting the accounting department for internal and external audits
  • Performing routine account maintenance in Costpoint
  • Supporting special projects

The candidate should be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. This position provides an opportunity to interface with management and support the business unit finance teams. There is growth opportunity for a candidate who can take ownership of a process and demonstrate initiative and strong problem solving skills.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2-3 years general accounting experience, preferably for a large corporation
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills

Desired Experience/Skills:
  • Costpoint experience
  • CPA a plus
